green_frВидел в Париже ресторан "Угарит" - пока что единственное виденное мною заведение, вывеска которого написана клинописью. Ну и латинскими буквами, конечно.

Date: 2007-06-18 05:19 pm (UTC)October 5, 2000: Rheal Mathieu, a former FLQ member who spent 9 years in prison for his membership, attempts to firebomb 3 Second Cup cafes in Montreal, due to the use of their English name in French culture. Mathieu was convicted in 2001 to six months in prison. As a result, Quebec stores changed their names to "Les cafes Second Cup."
